VitalityBurger Cheeseburger Pot Pie
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 25–30 minutes
Serves: 4–6
Ingredients
- 1 lb Vitality Burger ground beef blend
- 1 small onion, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup pickles, chopped (optional)
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp mustard
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise (for added creaminess)
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 refrigerated pie crust (or biscuit dough for a fun twist)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish. - Cook the Vitality Burger Filling:
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Vitality Burger ground beef and diced onion until fully browned. Drain any excess grease from the pan. - Add the Flavors:
Stir in the ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and mayonnaise. Season with salt and pepper. Let the mixture simmer for 2–3 minutes, allowing the flavors to meld together. - Assemble the Pot Pie:
Transfer the beef mixture into the prepared pie dish. Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top, and add chopped pickles if using for that classic cheeseburger tang. - Top with Crust:
Gently place the refrigerated pie crust over the filling, sealing the edges along the dish. Cut a few small slits in the center of the crust to allow steam to escape. Brush the crust lightly with the beaten egg for a golden, glossy finish. - Bake to Perfection:
Bake for 25–30 minutes or until the crust is golden brown and flaky. - Serve and Enjoy:
Allow the pot pie to cool for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving. Enjoy it with extra ketchup on the side—or pair it with fries or a crisp green salad for a full cheeseburger experience!
Pro Tip: Want to switch it up? Try using crescent roll dough on top for a lighter, flakier texture—or even add tater tots over the filling for a fun cheeseburger casserole twist! 🍔🥧
